Michael E. Bullock
President and Co-Founder
After 15 years running IT operations at several Boston-area companies, Mike launched TDS in 2002. Today, Mike leads the firm’s strategy development and overall operations, with the help of his exceptional management team.
From 2000 to 2002, Mike was vice president of technology at Student Advantage Inc., where Mike was responsible for developing new systems and technology operations. From 1998 to 2000, he was vice president of technology at iCAST, an online entertainment company created by Internet incubator CMGI.
Prior to that, Mike was the vice president of technology for Renaissance Worldwide Inc. as they grew to a $1 billion publicly traded professional services firm. Mike was in charge of all aspects of the firm’s technology operations, and managed the technology integration from 26 companies acquired by Renaissance over two years.
Earlier in his career, Mike was director of network services for a large Boston hospital (Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center), manager of network services for General Cinema Corp., and a network/software engineer at Alpine Computer Systems. Mike has a B.A. from Providence College in math and computer science. In his leisure time, he focuses on his family, exercise and gourmet cooking.
Craig Macfarlane
Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder
For more than 30 years, Craig has been a chief technology officer and/or managed large IT projects including Internet systems at a number of Boston-area companies. Prior to co-founding TDS, Craig directed the technology strategy and execution at Student Advantage and iCAST.
Before iCAST, Craig was vice president of advanced media development at Strategic Interactive Group (now called Digitas), a Boston-based direct marketer and interactive agency firm. He led teams that designed and built websites and content management systems for IBM, AT&T, Kraft, LL Bean and other companies.
In 1994 and 1995, he directed the growth, operations and services of a regional Internet provider and Web hosting company, The Internet Access Company. From 1978 to 1992, he deployed and managed a variety of global computer networks at Bolt, Beranek and Newman, a Cambridge, Mass.-based technology firm. This included networks for the U.S. government including ARPANET (the precursor to the Internet), NEARNET and TWBNet.
When Craig isn’t running marathons, he spends time with his wife and two sons.
Richard Knight
Executive Vice President
As a 26-year veteran in high technology, Richard has been instrumental in the professional services growth of companies including EMC, Oracle and AdvizeX technologies. Prior to joining TDS, Richard was the Executive Vice President in charge of AdvizeX Professional Services organization where his leadership earned the Professional Services Partner of the Year by HP and EMC.
Prior to AdvizeX, Richard was the Vice President of the Professional Services at GiantLoop where he was responsible for building enterprise-class optical high availability networks.
Richard also previously ran Worldwide Professional Services at EMC Corporation covering 20 countries including Americas, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pac and Australia. Richard was a key senior member of the EMC Business Resolution Team and Worldwide Management Team. Earlier in his career, Richard was Practice Director at Oracle where he led the regional custom development, data warehousing and technology practice. Mr. Knight earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business at Merrimack College.
Steve Gunderson
Principal, Vice President of Sales & Marketing
Steve has more than 20 years of experience in global computer networks and commercial data centers. He was co-founder and executive manager at two commercial data center companies, Enclave Properties and CO Space, the latter of which was purchased for $244 million just two years after it was founded.
Steve was previously a senior executive at three major telecommunications firms -- MCI Communications, Williams Communications and Broadwing Communications (where he increased revenue from $20 million to $200 million in just two years).
Steve has a B.S. in business administration from Texas A&M University. Steve and his wife Robin are active in humanitarian outreach with HOPEsudbury, and at Parmenter Community Health and Hospice.
Chris Gillis
Principal, Vice President of Technical Operations
For more than 15 years, Chris Gillis has managed technical teams in data centers, networking, computer server administration, telecommunications, desktop support and application development.
Chris has helped numerous companies manage their information technology infrastructure, including Boston Medical Center, Kayak.com, Trinity Healthcare, UBS Financial Services and Partners Healthcare. Chris has extensive experience in helping clients manage extraordinary change, such as mergers and acquisitions, downsizing and rapid growth.
Peter Bohnert
Principal, Vice President of Applications
Peter joined TDS in 2005 and is in charge of business systems development. He has more than 20 years experience in software architecture, design and development and has held senior executive roles at a number of major software companies.
Before joining the firm, Peter was co-founder and chief technology officer at Obian Inc., a startup software company. In addition to designing and helping create the company’s core product (which involved managing an offshore software development team), he led the company’s technical sales, implementation and quality assurance efforts.
Peter also held executive leadership positions at software companies including Marcam, Inktomi, Adero, Swift Rivers and Legent.
Karl Robohm
Principal, Vice President Critical Infrastructure
Karl worked for 20 years in the design, deployment, and operations of data center facilities nationwide and globally. Karl is an expert in building and managing the overall operations of mission critical data centers.
He has directed and coordinated large efforts throughout his career in the functional areas of: data center site selection, Facility Design, Build, Data Center Efficiency and Operations, Communications and Public Relations, as well as Facility Leadership and Organization.
Prior to joining TDS in 2008, Karl was directly responsible for the day to day operations and budget of 500,000+ sq/ft data center facilities nationwide at Internap Network Services as Director of Data Center Operations. He was also responsible for all data center site selections, design, efficiency (green) projects and construction of projects ranging from $1M-$40M.
Tim Schutt
Principal, V.P. Data Center Relocations
Tim is responsible the data center relocation operations at TDS. Tim brings over 25 years experience managing people, processes and budgets as in executive and operations roles at Palm, Inc., SunGard Securities, Paymentech and Wang Laboratories.
He has a proven track record for building and managing exceptional operations teams with a focus on providing superior service and customer satisfaction. Tim received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts.
Eric Kraieski
Vice President, Marketing
Eric brings over 25 years sales and marketing leadership to TDS. Before joining TDS, Eric was President of OnlineCMO where he helped large global companies including EMC/RSA, IBM, Cognos and Xerox (plus local medium sized businesses) improve their market penetration and marketing ROI.
Earlier in his career, Eric was a top sales producer in real time computing and embedded markets. He then took on executive leadership roles in marketing and product management for local startups Proteon, NetSilicon and Vividon (two taken to IPO and the other through acquisition). Eric has a BS in Computer Science from the Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania.
